In less than 30 days the start of the Arizona Cardinals preseason will be starting, first date is July, 31st where veteran players have to report in. Seeing players come back to University of Phoenix stadium gets the heart pumping and excitement going knowing that football has finally arrived. Some players have already begun preparations with mini-camps but August, 1st is the main camp and fans will get their first glimpse of players back in action. All these are going to be located at the University of Phoenix stadium, except for the last game. Okay, so lets run through these preseason dates!
Friday July, 31st:
Vets will be coming in getting ready for camp. Reason this is a key date is because we can see the end of the off season, like a bear coming out of hibernation. Wake up! Its time for some football.
Saturday August, 1st:
The first day of camp and practices will start to begin and fans will get to see the Cardinals in action. It may be practices but its free and open to anyone who wants to take the time to go watch the team. Plus, its great if you are free from 2 pm to 4:30pm because that is the time all the practices are being held. So if you don’t normally have the time or the cash to see the Cardinals during the season, take some time and go see your favorite players or show them some support, that is normally from a living room where only your family and neighbors hear you.
Saturday August, 8th:
FAN FEST DAY!!! Not sure how this year will be but here are details form last year per the Arizona Cardinals website.
FAN SEATING: Open seating for fans will be available on both the east and west sides of the lower level of the stadium.
AUTOGRAPHS: Following practice on Saturday, the entire team will sign autographs along the lower field wall on both sidelines for a limited time prior to leaving the field. To ensure all fans have an enjoyable and safe experience, fans are asked to be considerate of each other and especially to those younger fans attempting to get an autograph.
KIDS INTERACTIVE ZONE PRESENTED BY APACC: Located at the north end of the stadium on the main concourse, activities include an inflatable obstacle course, quarterback toss, and combine-like football drills. All children who wish to participate in this activity must register prior to entering the area. Registration tables are located at the entry to the area.
Saturday August, 15th: Cardinals VS Chiefs. First meaningless game of the year but outside of standing and scores, this game certainly has meaning to football fans. It means football games are finally back and the Arizona Cardinals are playing again.
Saturday August, 22nd: Cardinals VS Chargers
Friday August, 28th:
The end of camp, this will be the last practice fans will be able to attend till next year. If you manage to miss any of the other dates, this day is your last shot.
Saturday August, 30th: Cardinals @ Raiders
September, 3rd or 4th: Cardinals @ Broncos
Dates not to show up: August 6th and 9th players will be off. So, it probably wouldn’t be the best days to show up to see the Arizona Cardinals practice.
